If you're seeing a "Access Denied," "Attention Required," or "Checking your browser" page instead of our app, this is almost always coming from Cloudflare - a security service we use to protect our platform from malicious traffic.
What Cloudflare Does
Cloudflare sits in front of our servers and inspects incoming traffic before it reaches us. It's designed to stop bots, scrapers, and attackers, but it can occasionally flag legitimate visitors too. When that happens, you'll typically see one of these:
A challenge page asking you to verify you're human (a checkbox or short wait screen)
An "Error 1020: Access Denied" page
A generic "Sorry, you have been blocked" message
Common Causes
1. VPN or Proxy Usage
Many VPNs and proxy services route traffic through IP addresses that have been previously used for abuse by other people. Cloudflare maintains reputation scores for IP addresses, and a "dirty" IP can trigger a block even though you personally did nothing wrong.
Fix: Try disabling your VPN or switching to a different server location.
2. Shared or Flagged IP Address
If you're on a corporate network, public Wi-Fi, or a hosting provider's network, you may be sharing an IP address with other users - some of whom may have triggered security rules.
Fix: Try switching networks (e.g., mobile data instead of Wi-Fi) to see if the block persists.
3. Browser Fingerprint or Automation Detection
Certain browser extensions, ad blockers, privacy tools, or automated scripts (including some accessibility tools) can make your browser "look" like a bot to Cloudflare's detection systems.
Fix: Try disabling extensions temporarily or testing in an incognito/private window.
4. Outdated or Unusual User Agent
Very old browsers, some in-app browsers (like those embedded in social media apps), or custom HTTP clients can be flagged because they don't match expected browser signatures.
Fix: Try opening the link in a standard, up-to-date browser like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
5. Geographic or Network-Level Rules
In some cases, traffic from certain countries, hosting providers, or data centre IP ranges is restricted based on security policies we've configured.
Fix: If you believe this applies to you, contact support with your approximate location and IP address (see below).
6. Rate Limiting
Making a large number of requests in a short period - including from browser refresh loops, integrations, or scripts - can trigger a temporary block.
Fix: Wait a few minutes and try again with normal browsing behavior.
How to Find Your Cloudflare Ray ID
Every Cloudflare block page includes a unique Ray ID at the bottom. This ID helps our support team look up exactly what happened and why.
Take a screenshot of the full error page, or copy the Ray ID text
Note the approximate time the block occurred
Include your general location and network type (home Wi-Fi, VPN, corporate network, mobile data, etc.)
When to Contact Support
If you've tried the steps above and are still blocked, reach out to our support team with:
The Cloudflare Ray ID from the error page
A screenshot of the block page
The date/time of the issue
Whether you were using a VPN, proxy, or shared network
We can review Cloudflare's logs for that Ray ID and adjust our security rules if you were blocked in error.
