Delivery report terminology explained.

After sending invitations, you can track delivery progress through the delivery report. Each invitation is assigned a status based on the following definitions.

Delivery Statuses

Dropped

The recipient has previously unsubscribed or marked an email you sent as spam. The invitation is not delivered.

Bounced

The recipient's email address is invalid or no longer in use. Typically the domain name (the part after the @) no longer exists or has no registered mail servers.

Spam

The recipient's email server applied spam filtering to the message. Each email server uses different spam filtering criteria, and most do not provide details about why a message was filtered.

Delivered

The invitation was sent and accepted by the recipient's email server.

Opened

The recipient opened the invitation email.

Open tracking works by inserting a small transparent image into the email. When the recipient's email client loads this image, the open event is registered. Not all email clients load images by default -- Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, and Gmail may not load tracking images. In these cases, the invitation may have been opened but will not be recorded as such.
