NFC Scanning
Qflow supports NFC tag reading for contactless check-in on iOS devices. When a guest presents an NFC-enabled badge, wristband, or card, the app reads the tag data and matches it to a guest barcode.
Enabling NFC Scan Mode
Open Settings in the Qflow check-in app.
Toggle Enable NFC to the on position.
Return to the Scan screen.
The scan screen now displays the NFC ready indicator instead of the camera scan button.
NFC scanning is available on iOS devices only.
Supported NFC Media
The following NFC tag types are supported:
NTAG - commonly used in wristbands and event badges
MIFARE - used in access cards and smart badges
ISO 14443 - standard contactless smart cards
Scanning an NFC Tag
Hold the guest's NFC tag or card near the top of the iOS device.
Wait for the app to read the tag data.
The app matches the tag data against guest barcodes in the event.
On a successful match, the guest is checked in and a confirmation is displayed.
Important: Only one scan mode can be active at a time. Enabling NFC scan mode disables the camera scanner. Disable NFC scan mode to return to camera-based scanning.
