Tag trees let you organise guest tags into hierarchical categories. Use them to track structured data like merchandise orders, seating sections, or ticket tiers.
Adding a Tag Tree to a Single Guest
Access the Guest Profile
Open your event from the web dashboard.
Search for and open the guest profile you want to edit.
Create a Root Category
Click Add Tag below the Tags field on the right.
In the Tag Management pop-up, select Advanced Options.
Set Tag Type to Hierarchical Tag.
Enter the name of your root category in the Build Tag Hierarchy field and click Add Root.
Your new root tag appears in the list below.
Add Child Tags (Sub-Tags)
Click the (+) icon next to your root tag.
Enter the name of the child tag in the pop-up and click OK.
The child tag appears as a linked sub-tag under its parent category.
Add further levels by clicking the (+) icon next to any child tag and repeating the process.
Example shown in the video: Merchandise > T-shirts > L / M / S (sizes), with the created tags added to a guest profile.
Importing Bulk Tag Tree Data
Prepare Your CSV/Excel File
Add a new column to your dataset for tag tree values (e.g. a column named "Merch").
Enter the hierarchy by separating root and child tags with a > symbol (e.g. T-shirt > Black > Large).
Select the Correct Import Option
During import, choose Hierarchical / Tree Tags from the column type dropdown to match your tag tree column.
Complete the remaining import steps.
Tip - After importing, open a guest profile to confirm that the tree tag data appears correctly in the Tags field.
Tag Tree Attendee Statistics
Once check-in begins, real-time attendee monitoring activates automatically. Tag tree statistics are grouped by their root and child tag sections for structured reporting.
You can access live tracking and post-event reporting through the live HTML dashboard or PDF event reports.
