Printing from the Check-In App

The Qflow check-in app supports on-site badge and label printing directly from your mobile device. You can print automatically after each scan or manually from a guest's profile. This article covers printing from the check-in app — for web dashboard badge printing with a Brother QL-1110NWB printer, see the Badge Printing articles.

Selecting a Printer

Before you can print, you need to connect to a compatible printer on the same network as your device.

  1. Open the Settings tab in the Qflow check-in app.

  2. Tap Select Printer.

  3. Wait for the app to discover available printers on your network.

  4. Select your printer from the list.

If your printer does not appear, ensure it is powered on, connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device, and supports mobile printing protocols.

Print on Scan

The Print on scan setting automatically prints a badge label immediately after a successful check-in scan. This is ideal for events that require name badges or wristband labels at entry.

  1. Select a printer using the steps above.

  2. Open the Settings tab.

  3. Toggle Print on scan to the on position.

  4. Return to the Scan screen and scan a guest's barcode.

  5. The badge is sent to the printer automatically after a successful check-in.

You can also toggle printing on and off quickly by tapping the printer icon on the Scan screen, without going into Settings.

Manual Printing from a Guest Profile

You can print a badge for any individual guest from their profile, whether or not they have been checked in.

  1. Navigate to the Guest list tab and tap on a guest's name to open their profile.

  2. Tap the Print button in the action bar at the bottom of the profile.

  3. If no printer has been selected, you will be prompted to select one first.

  4. The badge is sent to the printer.

Each print action is recorded in the guest's history log.

What Is Printed on a Badge

The printed badge label includes the following guest information:

  • Guest name — first name and last name

  • QR code — a scannable code linked to the guest's barcode data

  • Barcode text — the raw barcode value

  • Tags — all tags assigned to the guest

Badge printing requires a compatible printer connected to the same network. If the printer loses connection during an event, badges will fail silently — check your printer status if badges stop printing.
